About Lake & Oak Tea Co.

Lake & Oak Tea Co. is a Canadian tea company, best known for making Organic Superfood Teas & Adaptogen Blends that are both cravable and nourishing. We’re not your grandmother’s tea - we use cutting-edge ingredients like ashwagandha, maca, turmeric, schisandra and chaga mushrooms that are designed to support a modern, busy lifestyle.

Things you’ll never find in our blends? Sugars, sweeteners or ambiguous “natural flavours”. We are also committed to having the lowest ecological footprint as possible. That’s why our glass jars are recyclable and reusable, not to mention beautiful in your pantry.

Meredith Youngson, Founder and CEO

When I was studying Holistic Nutrition in Toronto, I loved the natural relief that my nightly herbal “sleepy time” tea had on my anxiety, and my daily matcha had on boosting my mood. However, I couldn't find a tea on the market that satisfied my inner wellness junkie - something highly functional (hello super foods and adaptogens!) fun to drink, and lovely to look at. Now, as a nutritionist and flavour-obsessed foodie, it’s a deal-breaker if our teas aren’t both tasty and delicious. Our name, Lake & Oak, was inspired by the feeling of nourishment from being in nature. With every cup, I hope to provoke that feeling of “ahhhh” that you enjoy when you unplug in the wild, or just on your couch.
